Grange Village, in Newnham on Severn in Gloucestershire is a charity which aims to assist adults with learning difficulties by offering a home in an extended family living situation. The Village offers meaningful work, adult education, general care and opportunities for personal development within a vibrant, life-sharing, working community setting. Basketry then, is a part of the work, training and production scheme. These are internationally traded products which compete in the market place on the basis of their merits and not their origin.
Range includes dolls cots of two sizes and styles, the larger which is designed to rock, and the smaller with a flat base and each coming with a specially made mattress and pillow. Grange Village also produce trays, dried flower vases and usefully little dishes from either natural or coloured cane and usually with a wooden base for strength.
